IP Migration for Dedicated Servers

EXIST Hosting will soon schedule an IP migration for some of our Dedicated Server customers.

This migration is done in order to introduce our new IP structure for Dedicated Servers. Each server will get a subnet of 8 IP’s (5 usable IP’s) in its own private VLAN. Servers will have their own gateway, network and broadcast address.

Customers will benefit from having 5 free IP’s with their server and being secured in their own VLAN.  This then assures each customer that none of their IP’s can be used by other customers on the same switch. This will also create a faster and more reliable network for our customers.

We will email all customers with their new IP range for the migration to take place. BOTH sets of IP’s will be available during the migration to assure NO DOWNTIME for our customers. Customers should experience a flawless IP migration with no affect on their service. Those who need more IP’s will now have 5 additional IP’s to use at no additional charge.

All customers will receive an email regarding this migration including additional details and information.

Feel free to contact us with any comments or questions.

VMware Virtualization - Implementing

EXIST Hosting is now implementing VMware Virtualization for its Shared Hosting Infrastructure. We will be migrating some servers to the virtual infrastructure shortly.

We will migrate to this infrastructure in a controlled way to assure all services are up and running and that our customers still experience the same reliabilty and speed from our servers. We will fully test many aspects of the infrastrucutre for each server we migrate. The full migration to virtual machines will be done over a long period of time to maintain our current infrastructure’s integrity

We will post more information shortly.

Feel free to contact us with any comments or questions.

New Shared Hosting Servers: WEB7 and WIN4

EXIST Hosting has added two servers to the shared hosting cluster.

We added a LINUX (web hosting) server, WEB7. This server will only be configured as a web server, no database or mail services will run on this machine.

We have also added a WINDOWS (windows hosting) server, WIN4. This server will be responsible for running a web server, as well as database (Access) hosting with the exception of MSSQL databses which is dedicated to other windows machines. No mail services will run on this server.

Feel free to contact us with any comments or questions.

WEB3 and WEB1 Web Servers Virtualized !

EXIST Hosting has successfully migrated WEB3 and WEB1 shared hosting servers from physical to virtual servers.

These servers are now part of our new hosting infrastructure which is based on VMware Virtualization Products utilizing a NAS and other products which form this new and latest hosting infrastructure.

These servers now benefit from much faster speed, reliability and scalability. We have the option to add more processing power, memory, and space on demand to those virtual servers if necessary. This greatly improves performance on these servers

This will greatly help us maintain those servers and perform maintenance as well as having a much faster disaster recovery system.

Feel free to contact us with any comments or questions.
